That s Fun: A Jolly Display Font for Digital Creativity

It was a typical Monday morning when I first tested That s Fun in my latest web project. I had just finished designing a landing page for a boutique online store, and the hero section needed a bold, eye-catching headline. As I dropped That s Fun into the mix, something clicked. The font’s playful yet polished look transformed the layout from generic to engaging.

That s Fun is a jolly and cute display font, with characters made out of geometrical shapes. It has a distinct personality that feels both modern and nostalgic. Each letter is crafted with clean lines and rounded edges, giving it a friendly, approachable vibe that works well across digital mediums. Whether it's a product tagline or a call-to-action button, this font adds charm without sacrificing clarity.

From Hero Sections to Call-to-Action Buttons

I used That s Fun as the primary font for the hero section of the boutique website. The headline “Discover Handmade Treasures” stood out beautifully against a soft background image of artisanal products. The geometric shapes in each character gave the text a sense of structure while keeping the tone light and inviting. On mobile screens, the font remained legible even at smaller sizes, which is crucial for responsive design.

For the call-to-action buttons, I paired That s Fun with a simple sans serif font like Helvetica Neue. This combination created a nice contrast between the decorative display font and the clean body text. The result was a balance of fun and professionalism, making the buttons stand out without overwhelming the user.

Using That s Fun in Product Pages and Blog Headers

On the product pages, I applied That s Fun to the titles of featured items. For example, the title “Handcrafted Candle Collection” looked vibrant and lively, drawing attention to the product. I also used it on blog headers, where it added a creative flair to articles about handmade crafts and small business tips. The font’s visual appeal helped elevate the overall brand identity of the site.

When using That s Fun on dark backgrounds, I made sure to adjust the color contrast to maintain readability. A light gray or white color worked best, ensuring the text didn’t get lost against the background. For image overlays, I kept the font size moderate so it didn’t overpower the visuals but still held the viewer’s attention.

Considerations for Web Use

While That s Fun shines in short phrases and headlines, it may not be the best choice for long paragraphs or dense content areas. Its decorative nature makes it more suitable for display use rather than body copy. For navigation menus, form labels, or accessibility-focused interfaces, a simpler sans serif font would be more appropriate.

Before implementing That s Fun on a live website, it's essential to check the available styles, weights, and file formats. Confirming that the font supports multilingual characters and has proper commercial licensing is also important, especially if the site will feature global audiences or sell digital assets.

Font Pairing and Brand Consistency

To maintain brand consistency, I recommend pairing That s Fun with a complementary font that balances its playfulness. For a modern and minimalistic look, a clean sans serif like Open Sans or Roboto works well. If the brand leans toward a more classic feel, a simple serif font such as Georgia can provide an elegant contrast.

For a more whimsical digital experience, consider combining That s Fun with a handwritten or script font for accents, such as in testimonials or sidebars. This approach can create a layered visual hierarchy that guides the user through the content smoothly.

Whether you're designing a landing page, a course sales page, or a promotional campaign, That s Fun offers a unique way to express creativity without compromising usability. Its geometric charm and versatility make it a valuable asset for any digital designer looking to add a touch of fun to their web projects.
